The UK has become a hub for many successful Indian origin entrepreneurs who have built a strong presence in the business world. Many started with small ventures and risky investments, but through determination and hard work, they grew them into well-known businesses.

Financial Express, citing The Sunday Times Rich List 2025, recently listed the richest Indian-origin billionaires in the UK. They come from various sectors such as steel, retail, energy, property and textiles. Here’s a closer look.

Gopi Hinduja And Family

Topping the list is Gopi Hinduja and his family. They own the Hinduja Group, a global company with businesses in banking, media and energy. With an estimated wealth of £35.3 billion (Rs 4.18 lakh crore), the Hinduja family is also recognised for their philanthropic work.

David And Simon Reuben

Brothers David and Simon Reuben made their fortune largely through real estate and technology. Though their family roots trace back to India, today they are firmly established in the UK. Their combined net worth stands at £26.9 billion (Rs 3.19 lakh crore), as per the report.

Lakshmi Mittal And Family

Lakshmi Mittal is a well-recognised figure in the steel industry worldwide. As chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steelmaker, he has transformed the sector on a global scale. His family holds a fortune of £15.4 billion (Rs 1.82 lakh crore).

Anil Agarwal

Anil Agarwal is the founder of Vedanta Resources and has built his wealth through mining and metals. His net worth stands at £7.5 billion (Rs 88,827 crore). He is also known for promoting economic development and growth in the sector.

Prakash Lohia

Prakash Lohia carved his own path in textiles and polyester. As the founder of Indorama Corporation, he developed one of the largest producers of polyester and related products worldwide. His company operates across Asia, Africa and Europe. As per the report, his net worth is estimated to be £6.02 billion (Rs 71,283 crore).

Mohsin And Zuber Issa

The Issa brothers started with one petrol station in Lancashire and went on to build EG Group, a global retail giant. They are also co-owners of Asda, one of the UK’s biggest supermarket chains. Today, their wealth stands at £6 billion (Rs 71,058 crore).

Navin And Varsha Engineer

Navin and Varsha Engineer have made their mark in the waste management sector. They have a net worth of £3.45 billion (Rs 40,858 crore) and are known as leaders in this important industry.

The Arora Brothers

Simon, Bobby,and Robin Arora took a bold step in 2004 when they bought a chain of 21 shops called B&M Bargains for £525,000 (approximately Rs 6.2 crore). Over the years, they transformed it into a retail empire worth £4.6 billion (Rs 54,475 crore). The report mentioned that their net worth today is £2.1 billion (Rs 24,871 crore) and the company runs over 1,100 stores across the UK.

Lord Swraj Paul

Lord Swraj Paul founded Caparo Group, which grew into a global steel and engineering business with operations in several countries. His contribution to UK’s industrial sector remains significant. As of 2025, his net worth stands at £1.025 billion (Rs 12,138 crore).
