Amy Schumer sets record straight on deleted photos allegations

Amy Schumer has recently broken her silence on deleting her old photos on social media.

The American comedian made headlines after she wiped all her photos on her Instagram amid her weight loss journey.

On November 12, the Trainwreck actress clarified in her latest IG post that what was the real reason behind taking down her photos and also discussed her endometriosis journey.

“I didn’t delete my old photos because they were pre me losing weight… That’s a narrative you created,” wrote the 44-year-old in the caption.

Amy revealed that she’s “proud” of how she has “looked always”.

“I have been working to be pain free and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome so my face went back to normal,” explained the Life & Beth star.

Amy further said that she’s “grateful to be strong and healthy” especially for her son.

“But your Instagram is not your identity it’s a curation of what you want the world to see and I feel great strong and beautiful and it’s been fun sharing that,” noted the I Feel Pretty actress.

Amy pointed out that she “didn’t purposely go on a weight loss journey that’s a fine thing to go on”.

However, her focus has been on health, adding, “I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate. I’m a perimenopausal woman on hrt meds.”

“Wishing you strength and self-love on whatever path you’re on as long as it’s kind and respectful to all people. No matter their weight race or religion peace!” she concluded.

Meanwhile, Amy garnered a lot of support from her fans in the comment section.

One wrote, “Bravo! And well said.”

Another remarked, “All that matters is you’re feeling good. Keep shining. Love you forever.”

“It’s always us women they do this to. Good for you for speaking out dear,” added the actress.
