Kelly Ripa marks major milestone as she marks 25 season

Kelly Ripa marks major milestone as she kicks off her 25th season on the hit daytime talk show Live with Kelly and Mark.

Ripa has now ties with Oprah Winfrey as TV’s longest-running female daytime talk host. This is a huge achievement for her, and she was surprised by it, calling it “nutty.”

Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, joined the show in April 2023, replacing Ryan Seacrest. Even though he’s new, he’s feeling comfortable in his role and has learned to be easier on himself when he makes mistakes.

“I was a little hard on myself when I flubbed a line, read something that was not there, or just made a mistake,” Consuelos shared. “I was pretty hard on myself. So I’m a little easier on myself now.”

On the occasion, the host was questioned about her favourite memories from the show. She shared, “What I didn’t realize would become my favorite moments later on — because at the time, they were like anxiety-inducing and sort of, I was out of my head space — but when my kids would come on the show as small children and toddlers and babies, that was so special,” Ripa said.

“I have sort of this, living diary of their lives.” Her children, Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22, now appreciate those moments as adults.

The host also quipped about the compromising positions they’ll be put in due to their marital status. “If we were not married, this would be an HR violation! I am convinced a hundred percent. Seacrest could never lift me the way [Mark’s] going to have to lift me!”

The show, Live with Kelly and Mark, is currently nominated for three 2025 Daytime Emmys and has featured an impressive lineup of guests, including Taylor Kitsch, Lila Tung, Rose Byrne, Derek Hough, and Julianne Hough.
