Sophie Turner ‘crush’ on Chris Martin turns into love after Joe Jonas split

Sophie Turner, Chris Martin’s connection goes way back: Proof revealed

Chris Martin and Sophie Turner’s relationship is not just another Hollywood fling instead it might be a tale of a long time crush turning into something real.

While fans believe the two have only recently started seeing each other, an insider revealed that the Game of Thrones alum and the Coldplay frontman actually “met years ago in passing” while she was still married to her now-ex, Joe Jonas.

Interestingly, their budding romance appeared to stem from a longtime crush as the Dark Phoenix star is said to have admired the Viva la Vida hitmaker long before any romance rumors surfaced.

“Sophie has always admired Chris and was a big fan of both him and his music long before they ever met,” the source spilled the beans, adding, “She’s even joked that she used to have a bit of a crush on him, so it’s funny and surreal that they actually connected in a romantic way in real life.”

According to the tipster, the pair have deepened their bond over shared love for many things including being British and their love for music.

“It is still very new, but they have a lot of chemistry, and there’s a definite spark between them,” the insider told US Weekly. “They have a lot in common, and Chris is definitely her type.”

For the unversed, both Martin, 48, and the Joan actress are newly single after long-term relationships.

The musician reportedly split from Dakota Johnson in June after nearly eight years together and a rumoured engagement.

Turner, 29, meanwhile, ended her on-again, off-again romance with Peregrine Pearson in late September.
