Veteran Pakistani actress and host Mishi Khan has criticized actor Danish Taimoor for his comments on multiple marriages, calling them irresponsible and unnecessary.

In a video message shared on Instagram, Mishi Khan expressed her disappointment, questioning why the topic of four marriages remained a focal point in discussions while other important societal issues were overlooked.

She emphasised the responsibility of public figures to choose their words carefully, especially when speaking on influential platforms.

“I was deeply hurt by Danish Taimoor’s statement. There are numerous pressing issues in our society that need attention, yet we keep bringing up the same topics,” Mishi remarked.

Moreover, Pakistani actor and host Danish Taimoor has apologised for his recent comments about the possibility of having four marriages, which sparked widespread criticism on social media.

The remarks were made during a Ramadan transmission aired on a private television channel.

Taimoor discussed the topic of multiple marriages, stating, “I have the permission from God for four marriages, I’m not doing it ‘for now.'” The phrase “for now” triggered an uproar among viewers, who interpreted it as an indication that Taimoor may be considering another marriage in the future.
