Young Stunners to perform at Karachi Women Festival

KARACHI:

The Karachi Women Festival will take place on September 12th and 13th, 2025, at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy in DHA, Phase 8. The festival will start at 4 PM and continue into the late evening on both days.

The festival is structured as a two day public event featuring food stalls, shopping areas and live musical performances. Scheduled performers include Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, also known as the Young Stunners, Shayan Ahmed, Havi and Hamza Khan.

A core feature of the festival is the presence of local entrepreneurs, startups, and home-based businesses, many of which are led by women. Stalls will showcase a mix of products, including crafts, fashion, and lifestyle goods, alongside food vendors. The event includes activities designed for families, with dedicated play areas for children. The overall design indicates an emphasis on providing space for women entrepreneurs while maintaining a family friendly environment. The event is open to pets as well. Attendees are encouraged to bring their animals on leashes, granted that they can take responsibility for them.

The name ‘Karachi Women Festival’ reflects the festival’s focus on women centered enterprise and participation. While it is open to the general public, the programming is structured around supporting women’s visibility in commercial and cultural spaces. This positions the festival within a broader trend of women focused public events in Pakistan that highlight economic participation and creative contributions.

The 2025 edition follows earlier versions of the Karachi Women Festival held in the city, which featured similar blends of live performances, stalls, and family oriented activities. Each year, the venue and programming have been adjusted to accommodate a growing audience, with Moin Khan Academy selected for its large capacity and existing infrastructure for open air events. The scheduling of the festival in September also situates it within Karachi’s late summer calendar, where public gatherings, expos, and concerts have increasingly moved to outdoor venues.
